It felt great to be back The Barn at Upcote, that wonderful stone stair case, the contained courtyard, not to mention the beautiful farm house garden and sweeping rolling hills. Such a fab venue to have the best day of your life in, and Jo and Tom did.
Jo and Tom got married the day all restrictions were lifted, like many other couples they also had postponed their wedding countless times but come what may they were definitely getting married today.
Jo did most of the bridal prep at a near by cottage and transported everything over to the barn for the finishing touches, when she got into her dress and her dad saw her for the first time, Wow an utterly wonderful moment to capture. Jo’s day had finally arrived and she looked awesome.
Tom wondered around outside with a bottle of bear, greeting the guests as they arrived and not really knowing what to do with himself, bless him, but as the ceremony began and Jo glided down the stairs with her dad on her arm, again another breath-taking moment to capture.
Tom from the beginning said he didn’t like having his pictures taken and wanted a more natural and documentary approach, one that didn’t take him away from his wedding. I completely understand this and as their day moved on I couldn’t help but capture the most fantastic natural moments between them and their guest, their whole day was full of fun and laughs, with me popping up grabbing it as it happened. I did steal them away at the end for a few corn field shots, I mean who wouldn’t with such a gorgeous couple and with a view like that xx
