Pauntley Court is the perfect venue for the more intimate wedding (although the venue also offers a marquee for bigger celebrations) and with the most dear little church just outside the grounds it gives the option for a more traditional style wedding as well.
It was super hot the day Josie and Bradley got married, the cool of the Lords House offered much needed shade, after the ceremony everyone cascaded from the church to Pauntley Court and were greeted at the gates with glasses of prosecco before being lead to a funky open plan tepee set up within the grounds. It was utterly fascinating to explore this beautiful country house and gardens, and to just think it used to be Dick Whittington’s home, and Josie, Bradley and their guests had it all to themselves for the whole weekend.
As the guests were ushered inside for the wedding breakfast I took Josie and Bradley aside for a few pictures, but not too many as it was just too hot, before delivering them back for the speeches and the meal. It was after the wedding breakfast that for me Pauntley Court really came into its self, as the sun was setting we wandered down to the lake and the boat house to capture the golden hour shots before meandering back for woodfired pizza and the local ukulele band.
Pauntley court you absolutely have my heart, such a unique venue, packed to the ceiling with history and fine decor with sublime grounds to get lost in.
