It all started on a chilly morning at the beginning of March, as usual I arrived in good time to photograph Sonja getting ready. She chose to do her own make up but got a professional stylist in for her fabulous up do. We had a lovely and calm morning with lots of space to spread out thanks to Eastington’s amble bridal sweet and dressing room. The moment came for her mum to help Sonja get into her dress, such a poignant and an emotional time to capture, before she was swept down the stairs and off to church.
Stuart, my second shooter was waiting for me there, its always such a fantastic option to book a second photographer, especially for a church wedding, as all angles are covered at such momentous times of the ceremony.
After the ceremony it was back to the stately Eastington Park for the party. Sadly though we couldn’t do the confetti at the church, something I always really enjoy as its the big “taadaa” as you leave the church and head for your new life at your chosen venue, but thankfully the weather cleared up beautifully for us to do it at Eastington Park. I then took Sonja and James for a walk around the grounds to capture the two of them together before leading them back for the wedding breakfast.
Just before they were announced in I managed to photograph them completely unaware as they were having a quite moment to themselves in the hallway ( I absolutely love this set of pictures, I’m not sure what they were saying to each other, but you can tell how in love they are with each other, and as a photographer you always strive for images like these)
Such a fantastic wedding to photograph from start to finish with such a gorgeous couple. The pictures speak for themselves – how happy and in love they are and what wonderful warm family and friends they had with them to help celebrate their day.
