A beautiful spring morning met me on my arrival at The Frogmill with the trees about to burst into blossom, and don’t you just love that little bridge that takes into the venue, I certainly do.

Off I went to meet Hannah and was greeted by the lovely smiles and general banter as hair and make up was being carried out. It wasn’t long after before Sam was on the scene, arriving in his prized possession (please don’t ask me the make of the car) and gathered outside the bar with his family and friends.

Now as you know I’ve photographed quite a lot of weddings, and when I met Willow (their 2 year old little girl) I instantly fell in love with her, she’s got this cheekiness that draws you in and my goodness does she know how to throw a tantrum. I wondered how she would handle the day with everything going on – the action, the drama, the tears, all the people, and a new place, but she absolutely took it in her stride. Anyway less about this gorgeous strong individual little girl, I will come back to her later.

Hannah’s charming dad swept in for the bridal reveal and then walked Hannah across The Frogmill to the ceremony room. Everyone was gathered, Willow walked in and burst into tears, Sam swooped her up just as Hannah walked in behind her and the ceremony began, what an entrance!

The rest of the day was a dream come true, as people gathered on the stone balcony cerebrating the marriage of Willow’s mum and dad as they became Mr and Mrs. The speeches an intimate affair as the tables were arranged within a horse shoe design so everyone could see each other. Willow went from Gran to Gran to Grandad, with a little chill out on mum’s lap while she played with bubbles, back to a Gran, following off with a favourite aunty. This little girl went from cuddle to cuddle and played all day, safe in the arms of her family, no tantrums, no tears, just a gorgeous strong individual little girl.

I’m not sure Hannah and Sam could of asked for a better day, it really was a fabulous wedding to be apart of, it felt great to capture so much love in a room with a strong little girl, doting grandparents and a very proud mum and dad.
