My goodness, where to start with this fantastic wedding at The Orchard at Munsley, a stunning venue set amongst an apple orchard and a gorgeous couple with a clear vision of how they wanted their day.

I met Hannah and Scott at The Cheltenham Racecourse Wedding Fair where they first began to share their hopes and dreams with me. It wasn’t until our pre wedding meeting at The Orchard that their dream took shape and wow! I was hooked. A very untraditional wedding with no formal pics or awkward poses, no cake cut or first dance, just pure joyful storytelling photography.

A fabulous colour palette of pinks of all shades was created by Hannah’s florist and also from Hannah’s little allotment with vases and jugs of flowers festooning the tipi’s and baskets of apples spilling out everywhere. Hannah got into her dress and her lovely dad just couldn’t contain himself, he walked in, welled up, hugged her and then walked straight back out again. Bingo the storytelling had started and I just had to hang on tight for the ride.

Hannah and Scott got married by a celebrant who beautifully crafted together their love story and retold it on their wedding day, and under a tipi for shade, with nature all around them and amongst their friends and family, they became Mr and Mrs, a truly special time to capture for them. The confetti was thrown between two lines of apple trees assisted by two lama’s, before being led back to the tipi’s to celebrate.

When you walk into The Orchard at Munsley the first thing you see is obviously its three massive tipi’s, but what I love the most and probably what most people are drawn too is that without a doubt it brings the outside in, and no matter where you are within the grounds of the Orchard you all feel as if you are one big happy family, from the ceremony tipi, to the actual orchard itself, to the main tipi’s you can just wander around and soak up the the atmosphere which oozes bliss and calmness.

Now while I was photographing this magical day, it dawned on me that my main objective was to keep it natural and yet under these sublime conditions, how could I not. With that the sun popped out under the cloud line and sparked off the festival lighting, I grabbed Hannah and Scott for our last little time together before the band kicked off and they danced into the night.
