My goodness, where to start with this beautiful wedding at Cripps Barn, such a wonderful celebration where two families, that over came all odds, became one.

I walked into where Donna and her bridesmaids were getting ready and was met with a flurry of excited giggles. All of Donna’s bridesmaids were her sisters and her daughter and grand daughter, and also Owen’s daughters. A very close family indeed with a massive circle of family members and friends.

The weather at the time was very changeable with intermittent showers, but we managed to get into Cripps and also have most of the drinks reception outside and the couple portraits around the grounds. Both Donna and myself couldn’t believe how lucky we were to skip the showers and to enjoy all the parts of Cripps Barn and not just the cosy barn itself.

Cripps Barn is just the most beautiful venue to get married at. There’s something about the lighting, especially when you say your vows, that photograph like nothing else. The warm candle glow and rustic palette quite simply resonates through the whole day, right from when the guests start to arrive, through the ceremony and into the wedding breakfast and beyond.

Later on that day we wandered into the field were Donna and Owen could take a moment for themselves and look back at Cripps Barns from afar. This is always such a lovely time where as a married couple you take a breather and truly appreciate what a fantastic day you are having, and for Donna and Owen it was a time for them to give themselves a pat on the back at how they had brought together two grown up and independent families and created one big family that very clearly got along and love each other.
