A stunning Cotswold barn, perfect spring weather, a gorgeous couple, and smoke bombs, well lets just say I enjoyed this wedding.

I had photographed Katie’s sister’s wedding many years ago, and was thrilled when she got in touch to book me for hers. When I arrived to photograph the bridal prep it was lovely walking into a room with familiar smiling faces and to catch up with everyone again. After the bridal prep I then travelled over to Gore Barn and was greeted by Theo and his twin brother, once again more lovely smiling faces and big hugs.

The ceremony took place under a chandelier of green foliage between warm Cotswold stone walls, and the drinks and canopies were served on the lawns next to the kitchen as the most amazing smells wafted around.

Katie and Theo originally chose Gore Barn due to it being a foodie venue, and with smells like that you could understand why, the guests were definitely in for a treat and they could smell it. The wedding reception also was decorated beautifully, with rustic pine trestle tables and an abundance of wild flowers.

And the smoke bombs, my goodness the smoke bombs, if ever you are thinking of including them with your wedding pictures then please please do. First of all they are so much fun to photograph, especially after the wedding breakfast, such a colourful sceptical for your guests to watch while the bridal party prances around. Secondly the pictures are just beyond amazing with excited smiles and unexpected flares of pure vibrant colour streaking across the horizon. Wow, I absolutely loved it, and judging from Katie and Theo expression I think they loved it too, have a look and see what you think.
