For me blogging is the hardest part of my job. I worry that I’m not particularly brilliant at writing (hence why I became a photographer) and I know for a fact my spelling is poor (thank goodness for spell check) but blogging is an essential part of the job. Not only to show off your work but also to reflect on creative abilities on beautifully crafted past wedding.
Nikki and Chris got married in October last year at The Barn at Berkeley. A wedding held truly special for me due its flare of colour and the hilarious fun in the barn after.
It all started back at Nikki parents house amongst makeup, hairspray and the occasional cat and dog wandering through. Nikki’s dad kept us well fed and watered with prosecco and sausage buttes, which is always greatly appreciated given the day ahead.
The wedding was to be held at The Barn at Berkeley, a fab venue for ceremony and wedding breakfast with space to move and lots of freedom for the kids to run around. After the ceremony everyone spilled out into the garden and Nikki’s black lab was brought along to celebrate his mum and dad getting married with strict instructions to not jump up. Loads of fuss was bestowed upon this gorgeous boy who was very well-behaved indeed.
One of the best bits about The Barn at Berkeley which I do believe no other venue in the Cotswold offer is that you are allowed in the fun barn after. Chris was so supper uncool about the death slide, the look on his face says it all, but Nikki flew down in her dress closely followed by the rest of the wedding party. I mean how could you not. Hilarious fun was had by all which over flowed into the night and onto the dance floor.
